Gatewaying to ANC and expect to be gone 18-19 days a month minimum counting the gateway travel days. There are lines that split that time up between 1, 2 or even 3 trips a month. Going for the split lines and you may not be gone 18 days straight but you'll be gone more total for the month because you add in extra gateway commuting days. Junior there's no telling what you'll get, and 18 days straight isn't even worst case. People fail at bidding 101 and end up with two 17 day trips back to back or without enough days between to make a gateway back and forth possible or worth while and now you won't step foot at home for 35-36+ days. The bidding 101 is if you don't want it don't bid it, get junior assigned a line that does that to you and they have to adjust the line to give you 7 days off in between the two trips.
