I have a 2 day trip, with a morning DH ATL-PHX, 10:30 at the hotel, then fly the redeye back to ATL. Can I deviate from DH to take an earlier flight (still ATL-PHX), either that morning or even the night prior?

Not sure if Section 8.E.8.b would apply - "if the routing does not pass through the pilot's base" - because I'm not routing through the base, I'm just changing the flight times.

I'm not worried about the hotel in PHX, I'm paying for a hotel the night prior in ATL anyway so I would rather pay for one in PHX if I wasn't able to talk my way into the room early. Thanks for any suggestions.
