Default It will pass...

I think the contract will pass at around 70%. It is not the best contract, but it does have a lot of gains that are costing the company plenty. We gain some things. We lose some things. That is the nature of negotiations. Both sides have their "must have" and/or "must get rid of" parts of the contract. If we want to move to "industry standard", we must be willing to take the good with the bad. I think this TA is a good compromise. I think the hit on QOL is over-blown, but then again we have only talked the talk, and not walked the walk yet. Anticipation of the unknown is usually perceived as a negative. I really do believe that the MEC and NC have given it their all, and believe this is the best we are going to get at this time, without the risk of modifications that may not be favorable, and the loss of monetary gains over the time-frame of negotiating TA2. I am not a die-hard union guy, and I am not a company guy. I just want the best we can get, while still allowing Spirit to be a viable and profitable company for the long term. My $0.02.
