I was in exactly your shoes last year (minus the Alaska offer!
), and have no regrets at all making the move to SWA. I hated to give up a decade+ of seniority, but as close as I still was to the bottom after all that time, I wasn't really giving up much.
Overall it's a terrific job, and has been a great change for me. Moving to base made it even better if you can swing it. (LAX will be opening up later this year if it helps.) Congrats!
