If Skywest had wanted to make the ASA side of ExpressJet profitable, they damn sure could’ve. Bottom line is that they hate Unions so much that they kept whittling away at the planes and flying that ASA was doing in a controlled asset transfer to the Skywest side. Logic should follow that eventually it becomes unsustainable as the company becomes top heavy because employee attrition excellerates. Skywest tells their minions that ExpressJet is too expensive.
