If captains are still, after repeated specific warnings from both the company and the union, intentionally violating SOP then FO's need to protect themselves. It's the captains who implicate their FO's that are the problem, not the FO's who ultimately document it.
I think Southerner et al think you are advocating a job action, which would be illegal.
