"Everyone knows" that transition conflicts made it into the 2010 contract by mistake and wouldn't last into the next one. It was a gross error by the company and everyone knew that, except for the handful that used it so much that they began to rely on it and consider it to be a natural born right.
I laughed out loud the first time I heard/read about the old transition conflict rules when I was job searching prior to coming to Spirit. Seemed funny as heck that something like that could sneak into a contract. Trading it away for an updated payscale was inevitable, so nobody "ruined transition". It was doomed the day the company realized what they'd signed.
