If I write it up and I leave the jet, it's going to be hard to get me to do that. It would largely depend on my confidence in the safety of the operation however, if I were there and available. Typically, I go grab a coffee when engine run ups need to be done.
Likely, also, I wouldn't do it at the jetway.
