It was more of a dig at you for coming on here telling us “not to sell our work rules for the money”. You guys get paid a lot and have some very efficient pairings. Our TA is still superior to yours as far as flexibility goes. You have more days off but work harder when you are at work. We can swap/ drop days much easier. Obviously we are inferior when it comes to compensation. I don’t believe the TA will affect anyone’s quality of life unless they are reserve pilots who drop often because they actually want the day off. Those are few and far between.
These days if you get called for a turn on rsv you can pretty much pack a lunch and expect to be home later that day. The checkout call was either see you for your RAP tomorrow or here is your assignment for tomorrow. The question is under the TA will you now get called for that same turn and then constantly be extended into some six day odyssey every block. I guess we’ll have to see- if it passes that is.
