The difference from now vs the TA is that you won’t have schedule integrity so the 2-day can turn into a 5-day with a reschedule occurring on the first day. You are still on for 6 days and should pack as such. I don’t see this as a valid complaint.
Fair point. Even without checkerboarding rsv is tolerable to desirable for someone living in base. It’s unknown if that will change. Right now one can tell their significant other with a fare amount of certainty when they will be home (at least the day) even if they get used all six days. Regional rsv was pack for a six day every time you went to the airport because you just never knew what was in store. Seeing double letter (AA) modifiers on pairings was common as you got moved around the system putting out schedulings fires. That was with positive contact rules as well. Guess what no one answered their phones so deadheads were cancelled, hotels cancelled, names removed from releases. Scheduling became the enemy. I hope if this TA passes we aren’t headed for that. But yeah for lineholders the rescheduling language doesn’t worry me as much as it does others.
