My original reply simply stated that had I chosen AS when offered, I would've been in the left seat years ago driving to work. Just a simple statement that I chose wrong. Just because there are junior people to you on a certain aircraft doesn't mean you can hold it. You hold it when it's awarded! Why would I have a bid in to commute to Reserve? I chose to wait and by doing so have been unable to hold it over the past year. Simple!
How long have you been back? Mid ‘16 guys with 3 years on property were getting 747,787,777 in sfo. Seems in the last year guys junior to you were also being awarded nb Capt in SFO/EWR. SFO 787 FO is fat so it may be a while to hold that. SFO 777 FO is short but system wide we are fat 777 FO’s so who knows when 777 bids will get as junior as 9000 again. Probably be flying it by next summer.
