It would be nice if we could get a fair contract without a strike but at this point it seems like a strike may be the only way to make management understand that we will not settle for anything less than a fair contract. I think that management is making a big mistake in presuming that this pilot group can be intimidated or divided. We will stick together, support our MEC, remain professional and hold out for a fair contract.
Not so, if a Judge rules that the company did not maintain that status quo, it immediately triggers a release from mediation and a 30 day cooling off period. The problem is getting a judge that will side with labor.
