If you're doing the cleanup items before you are comfortably in the hold you're probably doing it wrong... Is the prop feathered and the flaps up? Unless you're on fire why not stay heads up until you finish aviating?
If you don't run the cleanup item checklist without delay, depending on which engine failed, you risk the PTU cavitating and causing a hydraulic system failure on the good engine. The reason we know that is because it happened at Horizon.
