Maybe being “higher tier” isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. BTW, as I’ve been figuring out asking around, a lot SWA guys are making more than the “higher tier” guys. Not bad for a “high paying commuter.” A guy showed me a captain in Chicago’s schedule. He made over $90k in a month.
If I were to be working at SWA versus UAL,DAL or AMR then I would always be regretful that I hadn’t made it to one of the big three. Sorry...but I don’t think SWA has the same prestige and I consider them a stepping stone. One could easily make a career out of SWA but for me I would much rather be flying for UAL, DAL or AMR. That’s just how I see it.
