"Negotiations" just means that the company has more time to drag their feet and keep the status quo. There is really no way to make management actually give in to the pilot group except a court ruling (if you are Union, if not you're just s-c-r-e-w-e-d). Union or not at the regional level the QOL and work rules come down to who is managing your airline. Unfortunately that is just the way it is in this industry.

Right now there are 18 year old kids at Riddle and ATP's who have never made more than $7/hour flipping burgers and to them $19/hour to fly an RJ sounds pretty sweet. And now they don't even need to get a CFI before they'll be in the right seat.
