With the line of thinking “how much is your hearing worth to you?”, I’d pay $1100 vs $700 if the Bose are that much better. I am considering the Bose vs DC also for the 737. The thing that I don’t like about the Bose are they look huge. I don’t want that big top band and massive ear cups hanging on my head all day. For size, I prefer the Telex 850, but I feel like I need something better. I like the feel of the DC pro-x better, but if the Bose are going to protect my hearing better then it complicates things.
How much of an improvement are the DC pro-x over the Telex 850 ANR? I’ve used the Telex 850 for almost 2 decades
FWIW....I wore the Telex 850s and and the Bose A20s in the B737. The Bose is infinitely superior in every way INCLUDING comfort. Believe it or not the massive band that goes above your noggin is much more comfortable than the thin band of the 850s.
I love the Bose and I’ve compared them side by side with the DC’s too up at cruise. They’re much quieter than the on the ear DCs.
