I'd be concerned with any policy that reduces voter turnout of any citizens - liberal, conservative or otherwise. But that's just me...I dig it when people participate in electing their representatives.
Voter ID laws only reduce voter turnout if the person doesn't make the effort to get a government issued ID.

For example:

The 2016 Presidential election turnout in the US was about 55%. No government issued ID necessary.

Just a few days ago there was a national election in Italy where a government issued ID is required in order to vote and the voter turnout was about 74%.

Voter ID laws don't reduce voter turnout. Voter ID laws are common sense laws that should be supported by everyone. Nobody really knows how much fraud there is but even if just 1 person commits fraud it disenfranchises the votes of others. Again, just common sense.
