Totally agree with the OP. It’s completley unprofessional and toolish. Take the ^*%#ing ear buds out, the sunglasses off, button your jacket and wear shoes that are at least somewhat clean/polished, and act in a manner that doesn’t cause embarrassment to the profession. Simple concept.
This. It's a tough sell to management (and shareholders, and the public) when we ask for top 5% compensation but look like minimum wage fast-food technicians.
