Buffalo comes to mind as a perfect example. Downtown BUF is pretty dead. I had a 30 hour layover there last November. Ther is nothing to do. I’m sure there are some nice suburbs that would be a much better place to layover that’s not right at the airport, but not downtown either. Although I remember when we laid over by the airport and there was plenty to do there also.
