FYI, only 23 out of 90 in Chicago can bid a line without redeyes. Most redeye lines have a redeye in each pairing. Some pairings have back to back redeye. Now that's QOL.

Not only do we (F9 pilots, not just ORD pilots) get the suck of redeye flying, we frequently do 2 leg redeyes with a 2 hour sit between legs followed by a 23 hour sit and an early east coast van time the next day.
The F9 motto is “if it’s legal and it makes us piles of money, we do it.” We spend at least a day after each trip trying to get enough sleep to recover from work. As Mugatu mentioned, this leads to a less than ideal QOL.
