Barring a major shift in global economics or a purchase of another airline, I believe United will hire every year for the next 5 years at a minimum, and they will hire no less than 400 pilots per year. It's not likely to be the "thousands" people want to hear about, but it's a far cry from what we were doing in the industry from 2001 to 2011 during the "lost decade".
