The two AK Captains now working for Horizon who spearheaded the Pathway Program both still have active seniority numbers at AK. Although hundreds of Pathway interviews have taken place, no one has been given a class date. In a attempt to buy time, look for the first Pathways group to be announced only to have their class dates pushed out to 2019. Keep in mind that the Pathways idea came about only because QX is in danger of a severe understaffing in the Q400 this summer.
The vast majority of our longer jet routs have gone to SY. SY will not fly the short shuttle routs for AK because they aren’t profitable.
