Talk to your Union reps people. Let them know that your priority for 2018 is fixing reserves. Key question for management is, how can Delta exist with (essentially) only LCR and we can't? We're 1/10 their size. If you want 100 reserves then it needs to be 85% LCR, 14% short, and 1% ready. (Delta doesn't even do ready reserve btw). This is doable, and would vastly improve QOL. This affects captains and FO's alike.
I'm not on reserve, but this should be our number one priority right now.

Just for clarification, on long call reserve at DL you can be put on short call, and there are always pilots in each domicile on short call for various periods (some of which are overnight). There is a maximum number of short call days though which helps spread the short call assignments out over the reserve list so it's not just the bottom few doing all the short call days. Generally it seems that the first day of a long call stretch is a short call day, and usually you aren't short call for the last day since they'd rather have someone with more availability.
