Looks like a typical case of crews going out and getting **** faced. Then while both are in an intoxicated state, one pushes themselves on the other and the next day somebody files a harassment complaint. Company investigates, finds out there was drinking going on inside the legal limits, and everyone involved gets canned, including the person who filed the harassment complaint.

The only twists here were the FA calling them in to the company, the Captain being smart enough to admit they weren't fit for duty, and the FOs interesting way of trying to avoid discipline in a drug/alcohol investigation. From the article, its seems like they were both smashed, so maybe the Captain should claim he was drugged too.

Will be interesting to see if this ever gets to court, but I bet it won't because I guarantee you company counsel interviewed witnesses in the bar and they have a good idea how much they both were drinking, and her attorneys won't want that getting any daylight.

Sounds like both of them should be in serious trouble for an alcohol violation, and if this Captain assaulted her then she needs to file a criminal and civil case against him as well as Alaska. The fact that she hasn't done that is very curious.
