People seem to be forgetting that AS's alcohol/chemical policy, up until a few months ago (coincidence???), had TWO limiting factors. 10 hr rule AND the Cinderella rule.....aka you couldn't drink ANY alcohol the same day as you were scheduled for duty...aka you had to stop drinking at Midnight the night before.....even tho you may not report till 10 pm the next night. Stupid(ish) rule I think and now it's gone....but still that was the policy. Tho nothing good usually happens after midnight...so there's that.
I don't know what happened in this situation....but that is another factor to at least think about. Especially if you may or may not be on probation......maybe she was maybe she wasn't.

There would be no reason to go public with something like this, unless one was extremely ****ed off at the company for doing nothing. That is not to avoid termination. To avoid that, you drop the case, keep quiet and let it pass. Particularly if they aren't threatening you with being fired in the first place.
