I don't know the captain or FO, but short of being an identical twin nobody knows what's in somebody else's DNA.
The guy in the linked story was one of the nicest men I'd ever met in the USAF. Cared about his people and the job. Mild mannered, professional, good pilot, and a gentlemen. Oh yeah, he liked pictures and videos of kids getting effed. Never saw that coming... Again, I'm not making any judgement about this captain or the FO, but you don't necessarily know him as well as you think.
