Men in this environment are essentially guilty until they prove themselves innocent. People like to make fun of Pence for refusing to go out with females unless his wife is present, but it makes for a bulletproof defense if anybody wants to throw an allegation his way.

I used to enjoy going out on overnights with the FAs and female coworkers but I do it rarely anymore. Too much at stake. And I quit consuming alcohol anytime when I am on a trip. Once again, too much at stake if someone sees you at a bar or wants to make an accusation.

It is a very puritanical environment out there and companies are more apt to get rid of a problem than give you a fair shake. Sucks but it is what it is.

As far as this case goes, keep in mind you are only getting one side of the story at this point from her attorneys, who are trying to get a bunch of money. She may be telling the truth, but certain aspects of her story bear suspicion, particularly relating to the circumstances of how she became intoxicated.
