Waking to an alarm that you dont remember setting? Why would a rapist put underwear in her purse? That almost seems thoughtful.
I would imagine that some guys don't consider themselves rapists, but think they are just giving her a little something to "loosen her up". Or maybe they haven't done this often and don't know exactly how the person will react, but figure the woman will be more compliant. One might still consider himself a "good guy" and not a rapist, as twisted as it seems.
