There's not enough local bar fly's, or other random women to attempt this on? Women that would have no idea who he is or where to find him? He does this to his F.O.? He's willing to expose himself to a potential attempted murder charge, rape charges, end his career, and face a very long prison sentence because this concierge room scenario with his F.O. is the perfect situation he's been waiting for? He's willing to gamble that she's just going to blow it off and finish the trip as normal?
It's either this scenario or she got herself absurdly drunk on an overnight. I've known a few raging alcoholics. One of them died at 42YO. Some people simply cannot control it once they go down that path. I have no idea what happened here, but there's really only two scenarios one has to choose from. One of them is decidedly more far fetched than the other.
