I had an FAA guy coming out of the Bahamas once, he was down there on legitimate business, some sort of station inspection. His wife bought a ticket to go with him for the couple of days he was down there. After reviewing all our paperwork he actually asked if it was ok if he rode in the back with his wife instead of in the cockpit. I just about burst out laughing, wondering who would ever choose to have the FAA up front for a 2 hour flight?
Except when he is line checking your boss and every time he leaves the cockpit, the Fed tells you what a dork he is.
