i agree 100%... but I do believe that you are not protected on a DH deviation... that is treated as a normal commute... so if you are out of place because you deviated on another flight the company is not responsible if things go south. I'll have to dig into the new LOA and UPA again but believe this is the case... DH deviations have risk.
There are no UPA seat protections on a deviation. No middle seat pay, no protections from ECON, no First Class guaranteed.......etc.
