Not to defend the disgraceful behavior of some idiot pilots, but let's not pretend those same tasteless and disgusting comments aren't routinely overheard from females in our industry. If you're not hearing them, you're not listening.
Men are justifiably considered pigs for talking like frat boys but please, let's not ignore that fact that women can be, and often are, far worse. The difference is that while men are censured and ostracized for their sexist behavior, women are often encouraged, even applauded for it. If what's being put out by entertainment and media isn't enough, hang out with a group of FAs on an overnight and listen for yourself. Better yet, watch a group of women at a batchelorette party.
Although convenient, males aren't the only bad actors.
