First off, you don't know if she has been claiming she was drugged and threatening a lawsuit all along. Wouldn't be the first time a company made an exception under the threat of a lawsuit. Second, she said in the article:
“I wanted to get back in the cockpit flying before moving forward with anything,” she said. “Now that I have, I am.”
Sounds like it wasn't a done deal that she would get back to work.
This.
Anyone with half a brain after getting a 6 mo PAID leave for violating substance rules while on probation would lay low for awhile, if it were only that. They'd be thankful, even. This is not that scenario
Wouldn't be the first time someone, after getting a break files a lawsuit. Happens all the time.
