For a legitimate Enroute Inspection, the ASI MUST have two things: FAA Form 8430-13 and Form 110A. Normally the 8430-13 Form is given to the Gate Agent upon check-in for the flight, and the agent attaches it (staple) it to the JS boarding pass. The airline should keep the 8430-13 white copy as a permanent record, so Captains, please do not throw it in the trash at the end of the flight! Turn it in to the “downline” gate agent. These forms are serialized, controlled, tracked and audited on a regular basis.
