Who knows? Who cares? I’m sure United has a department full of people whose mission is to weigh the cost/benefit of these decisions and implement them.
I’m a pilot. I have no control of these issues or how the press may or may not cover them. All I can do is try to ensure that my flights are safe, comfortable, on-time, and efficient. If we do our job well and all our other work groups pull in the same direction, this company will continue to improve. The media spotlight will eventually move on to the next outrage when the shock value of its current obsession diminishes.
In the meantime, Duke’s has a great happy hour and a spectacular view of the sunset.
