OP, I don't fly the 777 so, unfortunately, I can't really answer your question specifically. I've never looked at the VSI while I was in the flare but If I had to guess I'd say that somewhere between 100-300fpm would be a normal touchdown rate. That's a complete guess on my part, though.
There was a time that newbies actually went out to airfields. I think if you paid for a ride and asked the pilot to hold 500' down V/S on landing, the question would be moo.
