You won't get anything noticeably better than what we have. ASA isn't night and day above ours. Yes, their pay is in fact higher. Their minimum pay guarantee we had before them. I THINK their work rules are about the same as our, making their contract very similar but with higher pay. Koolaid comment of the night coming up...
I THINK we will get an increase in pay after the vote if it fails. Just my opinion and no facts to back it up. I will be disappointed if we don't. The ALPA guys on here will say we won't, but I have faith in our management to make that situation right. There is no reason why while our performance numbers on the whole are better than theirs that they are paid more. I asked our SAPA President how come they got the pay rates they did and he was the one who led me to believe my comment about our pay being increased after the vote.
No one is going to industry leading pay for a while. And what are we even shooting for anyways? I would like to see numbers of what people want to make per year.
And let me say again, our pay might as well be 7 years old too!!! 1% raise we got was worthless.
Oh, the $19.25/hr is a little misleading with our minimum 3:45. That helps quite a bit.
i am sure our raise will end up being quite a bit better than the current skywest rates,, even if it were just a 3 percent raise (which it wont be) it would put us above skywests current rates.
i am not trying to be sarcastic but are you telling me that if you guys dont vote in alpa, management is planning on giving you a raise after the no vote??? doesn't that sound a little,,, weird?? that the sapa president would lead you to believe that if the alpa vote fails everyone gets a raise??? you know how that sounds right?
so this would also negate the argument by several people on here that say they don't want to be embattled with management over pay raises by having alpa onboard. you guys have in house and only have gotten a 1% raise in 7 years?? and you don't need representation?
