We don't vote for or against a contract based upon guys at Republic, Mesa, Joe's Charter, or any other future pilots that may or may not come here. SPA members vote for themselves first and our fellow pilots second. The company is solely responsible for recruiting and that includes first year pay and benefits.

The pay obviously isn't too low otherwise we wouldn't have sufficient applicants to interview and to fill classes with. I'd love to hand guys $105/hour year one but I won't waste an ounce of my negotiating capital for guys/gals who aren't even on property yet.

Once the flow of applicants stops then NK can raise the first year pay accordingly.
