I know two pilots (1x 11M, 1x 18X) who have successfully used this program to enhance their separation experience, but not for the airlines. Both said it was the easiest program they've ever signed up for in the USAF/DoD. The 11M used it to intern as a librarian for 3 months while transitioning to a KC-135 ANG unit and the 18X used it to intern at a drone company for 6 months. Both were happy with the results.
