I've also seen 6 day trips where you fly from your respective base to LHR, then to another wide body base, then back to LHR and back home.

In other words, it's not common, but not unheard of.

RDU LHR is sometimes a 767 but mostly 777. I see MIA crews A1 all the time on my MIA-RDU flights.
