I don’t disagree. I had a conversation with a new hire recently that “traditionally” training was (and still is at the next level) cooperate and graduate. Not the hand hold you see at the regional level. He was dumbfounded that you couldn’t just “train till you felt good.”
It’s not just an XJT problem. To take it to an extreme look at when colgan was desperate for pilots. Now all regionals are.
