For the posters who keep saying younger guys use less sick leave, you must not remember what it was like to have little runny noses running around the house twice a month

I recently flew with a pilot who came to work very ill with absurdly contagious symptoms. I had no chance and it took weeks to recover.

****ed me off.

He had "lots" of sick time too. Point being, some guys like to bank their sick time. I believe in the use it or lose it philosophy that Delta has. Keeps guys like the above from spreading the plague in order to keep banking hours.

A few jerks will likely abuse the policy, but that always happens with any program.

Oh, and holiday pay will likely eliminate sick calls on holidays. Entirely.
