Yeah, but if you can handle an NDB approach and do it well the rest is a cakewalk.
My airline's SOP doesn't even allow for NDB approaches.
Not that we need to do them anywhere we go anyway.
I agree. I asked the chief pilot here why there is so much stress on NDB approaches. I mean I understand its good to know how to use them. She explained for doing cross countries incase thats all they have.
As a pilot, NDB approaches are good for getting yourself alligned with the runway, but I dont know if I would jump into the clouds with an NDB as my sole approach procedure. I doubt there even will be airports with sole NDBs too soon...
