I personally like the way the blazer looks, but I just can’t bring myself to do it. I own two suits that I wear once every 2 years or so and I have a feeling the blazer would get the same treatment.
I am about to pull the pin on buying the Karbon after holding out. The new one fits much better. Yeah, it looks weird but I am a commuter and I value comfort and weight over everything else.
My leather jacket and I aren’t talking right now. I spent a lot of money and time waiting for it, so I want to like it, but it is SO FREAKING HEAVY. I find myself regretting having it along as much as I am glad I brought it. This past winter I have brought a nondescript pullover and just throw it on during walk arounds (a nondescript rain jacket is allowed in the AOM) and pop off my tie and throw it on after I am done for the day.
Works great, but I get some funny looks and comments from captains. One told me I had to stay in uniform until I got to the hotel. Uh....no. Eye roll emoji.
