This is all sad to hear. They had a really good training program when I was there. The idiot they hired to run the training program I heard got fired. They should bring back the old training department and fire whoever thought it was a good idea to hire the new guy to shake it up.
Not drinking the kool aid at all, but the sim instructors (Mesa instructors) I have had so far are top notch, but they do expect you to put in work outside of sims. They set the standard, and you are responsible for meeting or exceeding it.
They are just as baffled as we are with the catastrophe that is the training footprint.
