That was never the point me or anyone was making. New hires can’t go to the 787 and 777 strictly because of seniority. There are 1500 pilots that have never had a chance to bid a WB yet.

I was a new hire into the 777 at CO in 2007. They had unfilled vacancies. They overtrained on the airplane because they were so worried about us, but woefully undertrained ya on intl ops and ETOPS where we actually needed instruction.
It turned out fine; 777 is a hell of a lot easier to fly than a 737 in my opinion.
So it could happen, but not while anyone in property is bidding for WB vacancies.
