TK is currently cancelling Line Pilot MVs and LOEs that sit in PI overtime and go unfilled. They are very short PIs. I understand your point but the shortage of PI's isn't the contract's fault. It's the fault of the company for not hiring more aggressively at TK over the last couple few years.
It doesn't seem odd to you that the company said we would be approaching 18,000 pilots by now but we're short on PI's with only 13,000 pilots? The timing of this doesn't seem odd to you?
It doesn't bother you that they've basically said that they're going to do this out of seniority and that you may basically be disqualified based on where your domicile is or where you live?
It seems odd to me that a 12 year 777 or 787 FO on reserve can come in and be a pretend student and make more than their 20 year PI that's capped at 9th year pay?
There is more to this than just being short on PI's.
