Management doesn't have a choice BUT to reduce hours and lose efficiency during a downturn if they start furloughing. See 5-B-1-(a)-1. It reduces credit hours for line construction.
111 credit hrs? No. Here are my last 10 monthly credit hours, as shown on my PayAdvice from flyingtogether: 87.5, 85.67, 74.0, 87.42, 88.43, 99.08, 74.0, 72.12, 90.0, 73.0.
Study history? Rather open question - please be more specific.
As for the rest of your post, you sound like a total DB. I shudder to think of the poor FOs who would be stuck flying with your miserable, whiney self. You can't even have a civil exchange with someone with a different point of view. Again, lighten up francis.
Yeah, I fired a lot at you. You have a “me, me, me” attitude which is a detriment to Union negotiations. You say I sound like a DB because I’m passionate about preserving jobs at United? What exactly was it that I said that was so douchey? Was it that I had a negative tone in my post to your desire to reduce staffing and run a more “lean” operation.
Like I said, u just asked for exactly what management wants in their openers. I guess if u were negotiating, we’d already have a new contract, but no movement for 10 years.
Take a look in the mirror buddy. You are the one who wants to reduce hiring so that you can get another 10-20 hrs a month by giving up our hard earned Vacation and benefits.
All I know about you is what you posted here, which isn’t much. I address your naivety, because if you’ve been here as long as it sounds, you should know better.
If you can’t be satisfied with the hrs that are available in the current UPA, then I’d hate to see you if furloughs start happening.
Block hrs translate to jobs. I guess you have yours, so pull up the ladder, eh? There’s a happy medium to line holder guarantees, and the reason is because most people don’t want to kill themselves by working 20+ days a month. If you wanna work harder, pick up an extra trip and then get a side job if u max out based on current rules.
The truth is, when furloughs happen under a contract like we have now, all those BS clauses u think are going to help you don’t...because they will be negotiatiated away in concessions.
No furlough clause, worth nothing.
The old saying goes, the Union’s main directive in most cases is to save us from ourselves.
Case in point.
