I’ve flown with older new hires here who have indicated that they don’t xpect to flow...just want to get to DFW and hang around at the top of Envoy’s CA list until retirement. Lost of those hired after the big bonuses kicked in.

It’s just odd that pilots are supposed to be critical thinkers, yet they take a lost showing zero attrition outside the flow and call it the gospel.
The UNION’s projection includes every single pilot will stick around and flow says nine years for a new hire. It also assumes that AA hires enough in every single month to take our minimum flows (25/mo now, less later) which never actually happens. Traditionally none in December for one. There were also 1 or 2 other months last year where AA did not hire and no one flowed.

So far, the Union’s projections have been conservative... everytime I’ve bothered to look at an update, my flow date is futher out from my hire date than what is was before. So far, these things you’re pointing out are not enough of a factor to offest the hiring lulls. And while things may change, it’s a bit disingenuous to be telling new hires 5.5 years right now.
