Just don't forget that those captains are also part of the problem. The foolish pilot group took 18 years to get to the predictable place the company is at now. The only thing they have demonstrated is their ability to be wrong. Most of these guys have never fought for anything more than their pathetic paychecks, and they lost. They are not brave people - simply corporate yes-men who know nothing more than "play along to get along". I wouldn't look to them for wisdom. Their "wisdom" has only achieved table scraps at BJ and other airlines. If you're an FO, I promise you they will vote for a contract that will benefit them at your expense. That is the pattern everywhere.
If you vote Yes for a sub-par contract, then you will get what you deserve.
Unfortunately, people learn by making mistakes. That's why literature is replete with examples of generations and generations making the same stupid mistakes over and over again.

Out of curiosity, since I’m 13 and was thinking I would entertain the idea of military service.
